The Red Sox. What can you say about the Red Sox. The best team of the first 20 years of the 20th century. But on that 20th year, a man named Harry Frazee (new Red Sox owner at the time) who was a broadway play producer. When in need of money for a play, Mr. Frazee sold his ace pitcher, and superstar outfielder, George H. "Babe" Ruth, to the New York Yankees. The Play that was made with the Babe Ruth money was a play called "No No Nannette". Other theories state that Frazee sold Ruth because Ruth was a problem in the clubhouse, he was very wild, very loud, and uncontrolable. Well whatever the reason, Frazee shouldn't have sold Ruth, he should have sold other players to finance a play, and if it was because he was a problem, Frazee should have talked to Ruth. Well I'm not complaining, i'm a diehard Yankee fan. My entire family comes out of the Bronx, and thats how I got into the Yankees. Now let me just say, I LOVE the game of baseball, everything from reading about Abner Doubleday stitching together leather and making a brown "Base Ball" and inventing the game back in 1839, to watching highlights of the ball going through Bill Buckner's legs in game 6 of the 1986 world series against the Mets, to watchin the Yankees win world series after world series here in the 1990's and 2000's. But as I was saying I love baseball with all my heart, but if you're gonna contract anyone, contract the Red COX. With Frazee selling the Babe little did he know that he would be starting the biggest and most fierce rivalry in the history of sports. Also he didn't know that his franchise would never win a world series again (which has been the situation so far) due to "The Curse of The Bambino". Now because of that curse, the Red Sox (or Red Cox as i like to call them) are stuck on five world series championchips (all won before the sale of "The Babe"), while the Yankees went on to win 26 (all after the sale of Ruth). I guess MLB was getting tired of the Red Cox losing all the time, with having this curse placed upon them, and all the bad things that have happened (Bucky Dent's playoff Homer, Bill Buckner's ball and leg incident, etc.), that Bud Selig (yes the same faggot that ended the All Star game in a tie) allowed the trade between the Expos and the Bosox with Cliff Floyd and the 2 minor league prospects. I'm sure the Mets, or the Cubs offered something a little better than 2 minor leaguers. But no madder what Selig does the Yankees will always win. Thats the only reason the strike is being considered, because the yankees always win the AL and the none of the AL teams ever make it to the series (except the Yankees), and the NL teams that do make it never win (except the D-backs and I'll give them credit for that). Well I just laid it out for you.
